RVA Softball, LLC – 2025 Spring Summer Softball Season
Softball Season is fast approaching. Below are team applications for Men’s leagues and Co-rec leagues. We are adding a new option where your team members can sign up individually if you do not want to pay the league entry fee and the collect from your players. Payment is accepted by Credit card or check.
Ann Taylor. As some of you may have heard or read, my mother, Ann Taylor, suffered a minor stroke in January and is recovering in a rehab facility. She does not seem to have suffered any permanent damage and is walking like she was before the stroke. She hopes to return home soon.
RVA Softball Office. Our office is open at 11213 Nuckols Road, Suite A, Glen Allen, Virginia 23059. If the door is locked please enter through our law firm entrance in Suite E on the side of the building. The office number for RVA Softball, LLC is 804-266-8317. Our email is RVAsoftballinfo@gmail.com. Please do not use my mother’s cell phone number or her personal email for information as these emails may go unread.
The new season will be mostly the same with a few changes. We will do team registrations this season but will transition to individual sign ups in the future. We will be adding new software to our website which will have the schedule. In addition, it should allow the League President, Umpires and team managers to report scores, which will allow for live standings throughout the season. I encourage you to add your players to the website so that they may stay informed during the season.
Fields. We have the same fields as last year and most leagues will play on the same fields as last year.
Games/Season. The season will be 18 games with a single elimination playoff at the end of the season. Awards have not been determined at this point but I will present you several options during the season. We hope to begin play in early April or as soon as the leagues are filled.
Short Season. We have offered a short season in the past. If your team is interested in playing in a short season please email us as soon as possible. If enough teams want to play a short season we will run some nights with a spring season, summer season as well as fall ball.
Payment. Teams may pay as a team just like we have in the past. You will now have the option to also make payment through our website once it is operational. We will also allow you to email the website info to the players and they can sign up individually. If you register 14 paid players, the manager will be allowed to play at no charge or pick up a dozen softballs as part of the team’s payment. There are no refunds for rainouts that are not made up. We will do our best to get all games in before the season ends but we do not control the weather.
Softballs. We will have softballs available for purchase for $82 a dozen or $7 per ball for leather. Synthetic balls for $72 a dozen or $6 per ball. We have 12” for Men’s and 11” for co-rec play.
Spring League Meeting.
We plan to schedule the first league meeting for the managers the end of March. Information on this will be posted soon.
There is no meeting March 19. We hope to have the date set over the weekend.
Player registration. We encourage you to register your players on our website. You may have up to 20 players. Players may be on more than one team but limited to one team per league. The pickup of players is limited to players registered on the website. This should eliminate teams from picking up players that are not recreational players.
Individual Player Sign up. Many players contact us each year wanting to play softball but are not on a team. We will also allow players to sign up and these players will be used to form teams to make sure our leagues are the correct size to maximize the use of the fields. If you need players to add to your team, please email us and we can add players to your team.
Resident Fees. There are no fees for non-residents of Henrico County.
